Raven Rises like the phoenix (Raven, Path, Open)

[RavenRise]

Raven Rise (dark haired, lightbrownish unicorn) had just recently finished unpacking and had settled into his new house. It takes most ponies forever and some don't even ever finish, but he didn't have much to unpack.

He could have lied down on his mattress and had a good nap, after all he was tired, but there were more pressing matters on hand.

If Pathfinder had gotten his letter, he would know that he's welcome over anytime today. He had set up his front yard with a table and had boiled water for tea. Because real stallions have tea parties. Anyone was welcome over though, Raven tends to have the most fun when people show up unexpectedly and do stuff.

Raven practiced his cicada imitation whistle (he had gotten it down pretty well) while waiting outside.

[Evest]

Evest (An entirely green pegasus) was on his way home after a good morning flying session, when he walks by and sees somepony he's never seen before out in the front of his house. It looked like some sort of tea party but it was too distant to tell for sure.

"Hmmm, I've never seen this pony here before. Might as well go say hi and possibly have a drink while I'm there" Evest thought to himself

He changed course to the house.

"Hi", Evest says as he walks onto the front lawn of the house

Raven stopped in the middle of his whistle at the sound of a greeting. He turned around and was surprised to see a green pegasus on his lawn. A local!

"Hi! My name's Raven and I'm new here! Sit down and have some green tea!

Raven poured the some tea into his cup, eyeing the pegasus curiously. He passed the cup over to the pegasus.

"This'll warm you up good. Anyways, I just finished moving in. How do you like it here?"

[Pathfinder]

Pathfinder, due to receiving a letter from the town's newest resident, was on his way to Raven's home. With him were Scylla, his daughter, and Scarlet, his pet fox. While nothing much was said, they enjoyed the peaceful walk together.

When they got there, he could see that Evest and a unicorn he hasn't seen before were in the middle of a conversation . "That must be Raven," Path thought to himself, "I wonder what they are talking about?" He then turned to Scylla. "Sweety, why don't you and Scarlet play with each other for a while?", to which Scylla happily agreed to.

Path now approached the pair. "Hi there", he said, "hope I'm not interrupting anything."

Raven quickly turned around and waved his hoof faster than he needed to.

"Hey Path! It's been forever! Come sit down and join this manly tea party of manliness!"

Raven poured him some tea as well.

"You're not interrupting anything. I was just asking this pegasus what living in The Crossing is like. I came here on a whim so I really don't know. Maybe you two can help explain?"

Raven poured himself some tea and took a gulp, glad that he had guests to talk to.

[Evest]

"Oh hey, Path. Nice to see you. We were just about to sit down for some tea" Evest said shortly after taking a sip of tea.

As Path approached, Something that was said seemed to stand out to Evest, to a point where he had to ask.

" Wait a second. "It's Been Forever"? You two know each other? That's awesome. I bet you two went adventuring or fought dragons and amazing stuff like that. Come join us. You must tell me everything."

Evest was eager to learn of amazing stories even though he knows that they could just be simple friends. Evest decides to sip his tea as he awaits

"Well no, we never fought dragons, fortunately or unfortunately. Although Path was attacked by a baby dragon once when he flew too close to a crater. Baby dragon fire magic is horribly unstable, at least from what I could tell."

Raven realized his tea had been cold for a while. He quickly drank it down and poured himself some more.

"Man I ramble. But anywho, me and Path lived in the same town for a while, so we try to keep in touch and stuff. Path likes to go on adventures and I just like to have fun, so the friendship works. As far as epic adventures are concerned... let's see... he helped me ask out that cute mare once... no that's not epic enough... hm..."

"...OH MY CELESTIA! I just remembered one you'll love!"

Raven looked over to Path, who had suddenly started laughing to himself.

"Yes, that one." "Why don't you tell him Path, you're better at this kind of thing."

[Pathfinder]

Upon hearing what Rise said, Path was now grinning now. "I can't believe you still remember that! Now, where to start." He thought back to that day. Well, I was planning this trip to a place call Horseshoe Harbor. I heard that they have a great view of the sea from there, so being an artist, I figured I go check it out."

Path then took a brief pause, taking a sip of his tea."Anyway, when I ran into Rise, I told him about this trip and if he was interested in coming along, which he said yes to. So, after got our stuff ready, we left for the harbor. When we got there, however, we found out that they were having a carnival of sort."

"Sadly, because of that, the streets were crowded, so we couldn't see the view on that day. I figured, since we were here already, we could just spend the night here. After looking around, we found the only tavern that still had rooms for nightly rent..."

"Turns out, this tavern was hosting an event. We really didn't have a choice in terms of looking for an other place, so we made the most of the night... Somepony must of spiked the punch, because I can't remember what happened after I took a drink of that. But what I do remember next is this; we somehow ended up on a pirate ship the next morning... With me being the Captain and Rise being my right-hoof stallion."

" According to the crew I had, I won a game of Lair's Dices, with the ship and crew being the prize. Funny thing is, I never played Lair's Dices ever in my life, so it was by dumb luck that I ended up winning. Anyway, here we were, on a ship, with a crew, in the middle of the sea."

"But in the end, it all worked out. I got to see Celestia's sun set out at sea, Raven got a great time out of this and, to top this off, we were on a boat! So, over all, I say this was a successful trip"

He then took a sip of his tea. "Aww, I tea got cold..."

Raven quickly poured him some more. He was getting a bit jittery from the caffeine.

"Yeah, our adventuresare pretty-much-the best. It'slike, even if you do something stupid, you have a funny story to tell afterwards. Amirite? Ooh I remember seeing a beautiful mer-pony, or maybe that was justthe punch. Idon'tknow. And you still have that ship don't you? We aught to take it out sometime.

Raven took some deep breaths.

"My grandma can make them much better than I can, mine always come out with too much caffeine. I wish I could use magic with these, but it leaves a bitter aftertaste.

"Well, I think we've all had our fill. Raven collected the cups. "Are you guys busy? I've barely seen the town, so I'm up for some exploring, unless you guys have to be somewhere, of course.

Any cool sights, cute mares, Forbidden lava-filled caverns, I should know about?

[Evest]

"Well, I'm free for today. We don't have any lava-filled caverns but we have a good beach and a few shops in town. Oh, but there is The Great Whispering Tree in the Whispering Forest, Maybe you'd like to see it. It's towering tree that's many stories high." Evest says with excitement "I live next to it, we can get supplies there and go exploring. What do ya say?"

"A Whispering Forest, with a Whispering Tree? Sounds epic!"

Raven wondered about what could be waiting for him. Evest described the tree as having floors, maybe the tree could be it's own little world to it's inhabitants. Or maybe just a big tree. And what's "Whispering" about it? Who knows. Sounds cool. Do want.

"I'm down! I have some spare bits with me so we can go prepared. Ready when you are."

Raven turned to look at Pathfinder, who hadn't said anything since his epic narrative.

"Path, are you doing anything else today? It'd be better if you came, but if you're busy then we understand."

[Pathfinder]

Path thought about this for a while. He didn't have much planed out for today, so he figured, why not?

"Sure," He said to Rise, "I would like to come." Path then looked towards where Scylla and Scarlett were. "Although, would it be alright with you guys if my daughter and fox came along as well?"

[Evest]

Evest ponder it for a moment. "It could get a bit risky considering the size of this tree, but then again there are 2 pegasi and a unicorn." He thought to himself.

"I don't see why, we'll just need to be well supplied" Evest replies. "So lets go get ready, where is a good place to get supplies? Does Tom sell climbing gear?"

[RavenRise]

"The more the merrier!"

Raven didn't recall Path having a daughter. When did THAT happen? and with WHO? He has some explaining to do.

"In due time... calm down."

"You'll know better than I do. Let's go!"

And they were off!

[Evest]

Alright. Hey, Path. Why don't you go and get Scylla then meet up at my house, since it's a short walk from the tree."
Evest turns to face Raven while still keeping in the general line of Path.
"Me and Raven can go get some supplies at Tom's and meet you there... But be warned"
Evest lets out a small laugh knowing who would also be at home as well as some of the incidents with Path. He turns to face Path again
"You may even find Myra there."
